The smaller relative among the big names of Hampshire's chalk streams, the Test and the Itchen. Nevertheless, the Meon is less modified than those two and has retained far stronger populations of freshwater shrimps, Gammarus. The Hi-Tech Wild-Trek Trailer made a number of visits to it's nearest river.

The Ebble is lovely chalk stream running through beautiful downland scenery to join the River Avon below Salisbury. Hi-Tech Wild-Trek made several visits to this site and recorded some of the highest invertebrate biodiversity scores. The video shows some of this tremendous variety.
